Outstanding Issues - Version 4.00
=================================
Black Hole is, of course, perfect. There are no bugs in it at all. There are,
however, one or two minor deviations from might be called perfect behaviour,
although Black Hole is perfect in all respects and these imperfections are
actually the fault of the operating system which exhibits several areas in
which it is incompatible with Black Hole. Wibble.
1) Singularity does work quite well with SparkFS. Unless you use Spark Dirs
as a compression method. What will happen then is that files will be
copied in compressed format. This is not very useful but I've yet to find
a way to stop it.
2) Singularity cannot be made to ignore Image Filing systems, e.g. SparkFS
or DOSFS. They do not, therefore, appear in the 'Filing Systems to Ignore,
Add' menu. You can enter them manually, but it won't work.
3) There may be a problem with using the File Finder with ArcFS 2.23 and
later, although this has yet to be confirmed. This problem will only be
apparent if you have a very large number of archives on your hard disc.
I think that ArcFS runs out of file handles and crashes.
4) If you are using RemoteFS or similar serial or parralel comms software
to transfer files, I recommend that you set 'Trap Filer Deletes' and
'Trap File Overwrites' to OFF while you are running it. If you don't do
this, Black Hole will adversely affect the speed of the file transfer.
