  15.  Voodoo-X is an MUI based archive browser and extractor that uses the XAD
  16.  unarchiver engine. This means it doesn't depend on external archiver
  17.  commands being in the C: (etc.) drawer.

  31.                              Long Introduction

  34.  Voodoo-X is an MUI based front-end for Dirk Stoecker's powerful unarchiving
  35.  system xadmaster.library (Shareware). Unlike other dearchiver front-ends,
  36.  Voodoo-X doesn't depend on external archiver commands (such as LZX, LHA,
  37.  DMS, etc.) being in the C: drawer nor does it require complicated command
  38.  line setups for these commands. This is because XAD does all the hard work.

  41.  Voodoo-X allows you to quickly browse an archive's contents and view
  42.  individual files (with filetypes) like pictures and documents just by
  43.  double clicking your mouse. This method of browsing archives proves to
  44.  be highly effective since you don't need to get your hands dirty by
  45.  extracting files to temporary locations such as Ram:. Voodoo-X does all
  46.  that for you.

  48.  xadmaster.library is a modular system and will support even more archiver
  49.  formats in the future.

  51.  Note: Voodoo-X doesn't actually write disk based archives (like DMS, xMash,
  52.        etc.) back to disk, but instead examines them to see if they are
  53.        OFS or FFS formatted, if they are, it then allows you to browse
  54.        through the contents of them and retrieve individual files.

  56.        Voodoo-X can also retrieve files from inside standard FFS formatted
  57.        (i.e AmigaDOS) ADF files like those used with WinUAE. OFS, FFS,
  58.        DirCache, International, double-density and high-density disks
  59.        formats are all supported.

  74.  o Browse many archives very quickly. Voodoo-X contains an archive history
  75.    list, much like the URL history list of a web browser. This allows you
  76.    to switch between archives VERY QUICKLY with only three clicks of the
  77.    mouse button.

  79.  o Retrieve files from within DMS archives (and other disk based archive
  80.    formats too) without having to extract the entire archive to disk or
  81.    a virtual disk device like FMS.

  83.  o Browse archives inside archives. Quickly gain access to that document
  84.    inside that LHA inside that LZX inside that DMS. ;)

  86.  o Quickly view pictures, documents or similar files that are inside archives
  87.    simply by double clicking on a file. Voodoo-X will then extract it and
  88.    start the viewer of your choice.

  90.  o Drag one or more archive icons from Workbench into the main window to

  95.  o Virus checking. If you have Georg Hoermann's xvs.library system installed
  96.    then you can check archives for file viruses. You can also specify if
  97.    every file extracted should be checked.

  99.  o Lots of archiver formats are supported (common ones and obscure ones). 
  100.    Disk image formats are also supported, so you can treat AmigaDOS
  101.    formatted ADF files as normal archives under Voodoo-X.

  103.  o Fast decompression, thanks to xadmaster.library. Note that this really
  104.    depends on the client being used. Some clients are coded in C and might
  105.    noticeably slower than the original archive program on older CPUs.

  107.  o Very easy-to-use user interface, thanks to MUI.

  109.  o Quickly copy, move or delete archives using pull down menus. This can
  110.    be highly convenient when going through download directories.

  112.  o Search window. Search for strings or filename patterns inside archives.
  113.    Uses assembly optimized string search routines for greater speed.
