  7. The XFD system  is for single  file decrunching.  It can be compared to
  8. XAD system,  which  is  for  file extraction  from  archives!  They  do
  9. different work, but are used together often.
  10.  
  11. This  software  package allows you to decrunch almost every packed file
  12. known  on the Amiga.  It consists of the xfdmaster.library as the brain
  13. and a couple of programs that offer certain functions to the user.

  15. The  xfdmaster.library is a standard Amiga shared, runtime library.  It
  16. works  with  Kickstart  V33+ and offers applications the possibility to
  17. directly support any crunched files.
  18.  
  19. Other  than the predecessor decrunch.library, the xfdmaster.library has
  20. a  more  flexible interface, offers the possibility to decrunch already
  21. loaded  program  segments,  supports  external  decrunchers, is able to
  22. unlink 4EB9/4EF9- and text-linked files  and can scan for crunched data
  23. in any memory area.
