Most of the icons on this CD use AACDfile as their default tool. This calls IDer to identify the type of the file and uses the program specified in its configuration file to show that file.
This preferences program allows you to edit the default configuration supplied with the CD and to alter the programs used for each file type.
This is all you really need for programs on this CD, but if you would like to know more about IDer, the documentation is in AACD:CDTools/IDer.
If you have Directory Opus 5.x you may select the option to use the filetypes defined in Opus instead of setting up separate preferences for the CD.
You may also choose whether Autorun automatically loads the Welcome page when you insert an Amiga Active CD, whether it simply initialises the CD quietly, or whether it asks you each time.
