  1. AmiBroker 3.0 Localization ReadMe

  4. INTRODUCTION
  5.  
  6. From version 3.0 AmiBroker supports localization. This means that everyone can translate AmiBroker
  7. into his/her own language making it easier to understand.
  8. However, people wanting to translate AmiBroker should contact me first in order to co-ordinate
  9. work (mainly to avoid many people from doing the same thing).
  10.  
  11. Currently only Polish translation is available (see Locale/Translations dir).
  12. In order to see Polish texts you should have Polish locale installed and
  13. Prefs/Locale preferred languages set to "polski".

  15. TRANSLATORS' INFORMATION

  17. In Locale subdirectory you can find following things needed for translation:
  18. Broker.cd - catalog description file
  19. Broker.ct - template (blank) catalog translation file
  20.  
  21. In order to generate appropriate broker.catalog file you should obtain CatComp
  22. or similiar catalog generator (like FlexCat) from AmiNet.

  24. When your translation (.ct file) is done you can generate catalog file by issuing
  25. following command (FlexCat example):

  27. flexcat broker.cd broker_mylanguage.ct CATALOG=broker.catalog
  28.  
  29. If everything goes right you will have to copy broker.catalog to LOCALE:Catalogs/mylanguage/
  30. directory and run AmiBroker.

  32. If <mylanguage> is choosen in Preferences/Locale preferred languages setting
  33. AmiBroker will use it and you will see localized texts.

  35. When doing the translation pay special attention to the strings containing formatting
  36. sequences like "%6.2lf" or "%34s". Leave them as they are (do NOT delete them) -
  37. translate only the english words, because these sequences are needed to AmiBroker to
  38. parse parameters.

  40. WHAT TO DO IF MY TRANSLATION IS DONE?

  42. Send it to me. I will check it and include to the official AmiBroker package.
  43. After accepting your translation, you will receive free keyfile for the next 5 releases.
