  9.  * VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: this archive contains an updated version of the
  10.  * SnoopDos executable, with the version number bumped to 3.1. This was
  11.  * NOT made by the original SnoopDos author, Eddy Carroll, but instead
  12.  * by Luca Longone and Massimo Tantignone (with Eddy Carroll's approval).

  14.  * The purpose of this update is to remove an Enforcer hit which can happen
  15.  * with version 3.0 when a program is launched from ToolManager's dock and
  16.  * SnoopDos is running with its "SendRexx" patch turned on. Said hit doesn't
  17.  * seem to cause any harm, however it can be an annoyance for people which
  18.  * have Enforcer running all the time.
  19.  * The hit is apparently due to the way ToolManager sets up its message
  20.  * port and only happens when SnoopDos 3.0 is running. Since we can't
  21.  * fix ToolManager right now, we made SnoopDos able to avoid the hit.
  22.  * If you don't use ToolManager, you don't need this update.

  24.  * For the more suspicious people, the updated source code is on Aminet
  25.  * as well (util/moni/snoopdos31_src.lha). Note that just ONE line of code
  26.  * has been changed in this update, line 4466 in the "patches.c" module.

  28.  * The SnoopDos executable in this archive was compiled for the 68020 CPU,
  29.  * since on a plain 68000 you can't run Enforcer anyway, and, as already
  30.  * stated, the hit by itself is harmless (the real problem is Enforcer
  31.  * reporting it).

  33.  * The original SnoopDos 3.0 documentation is included in this update
  34.  * without any modification, but please note that all references to PGP
  35.  * can't be applied to this update. If you need confirmation about the
  36.  * genuine nature of this update you can ask us or the original author.
