Ladees and Germs,
The Fish Archive on ux1 has run out of money in one heck of a hurry. Fred
sent the last couple of sets within a short amount of time, and I've been
caught with my proverbial drawers around my ankles. Soooo... I need
donations to keep the archive going. If you find this to be a worthy
cause, please consider donating $10. Instructions:
1. Send your email address with your donation and you will automagically
be put on the Fish disk mailing list. This means you will get notification
and Contents listings of the disks the very second they're available on
ux1. If you do NOT want to be on this mailing list, include a short
message to that effect.
2. I will notify you by email when I receive your donation, if you include
your email address with your donation.
3. Send it to this address:
Michael Schwager (my friends call me "Mike")
403 S. Coler
Urbana, IL 61801
The sooner your donation arrives, the sooner I can get enough money to send
to Fred for another subscription. If you recall, last time we got over
$900 (!), were able to pay Lionel Hummel $250 for his previous
contributions to the cause, and have gotten oodles of disks from Fred. $10
was the suggested donation and that worked out quite well. Feel free to
give more or less as your circumstances dictate. Of course, I get to keep
the floppies so I put in $50 plus my time to upload and reply to email and
stuff like that.
Be advised that Fish disks are also uploaded to grind.isca.uiowa.edu for
free (they don't take donations). But if you like the freedom of choice
and speedy access to your favorite Fish disks, not to mention an email
message the very moment the disks are uploaded, then consider donating to
the ux1 archive. Thanks.
-Mike
