Ameristar Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of advanced networking
and graphics products for the Commodore Amiga is pleased to announce
the 1600GX graphics board for the A3000. The 1600GX is a high resolution,
accelerated 32 bit graphics product specifically designed for those users
who require a high performance graphics display for demanding applications
such as CAD, desktop publishing, graphics production, and the X Window
System.
Features:
- Programmable resolutions up to 1600x1280, including non-interlaced 640x480,
800x600, 1024x768, 1152x900, 1280x1024, 1600x1200. Pixel output rate is
software programmable to 180 million pixels per second.
- 32 bit, Zorro-III host interface. Over 5 times increase in host interface
performance compared to graphics boards designed for the older Zorro-II
bus.
- Pipelined graphics processor draws quadrilaterals, triangles, lines, and
points at full bandwidth of video memory. Direct support for X-Windows
drawing modes. BitBlt operations at full video ram bandwidth.
- 100 million pixels per second drawing rate.
- Direct access, memory mapped frame buffer for image processing applications.
Packed pixel data representation.
- 16 million color palette.
- X-Windows compatible hardware cursor support.
The 1600GX board will be available separately or bundled with selected
workstation quality monitors. Software will include support for Commodore's
A3000UX Unix system and X windows under AmigaDOS by GFXbase. The 1600GX is
currently shipping to selected developers now, with full production starting
in 2Q92.
The 1600GX is priced at $2995. A bundled system, including the 1600GX,
Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 20 monitor, and cable is priced at $5995.
