  1. New installations
  2. =================
  3. To install Angband, simply copy !Angband onto a hard or floppy disc.

  5. If you have RISC OS 3.50 or earlier, you will also need to install
  6. the Toolbox modules from the accompanying archive.

  8. Press menu on !Angband and select App '!Angband'=>Help for info
  9. on playing Angband.

  12. Upgrading
  13. =========
  14. If you are installing over Release 1, then simply ensure that
  15. the Filer option "Newer" is set, and copy this release on top of
  16. it. This will not disturb your saved game files (I promise!).

  18. Note that key codes have changed - any macros you may have already
  19. defined will need to be changed. This won't happen again.

  21. The "Angband" palette file
  22. ==========================
  23. This is the palette used by Angband. Double-click on it to set
  24. your desktop palette to the Angband palette. This will muck up
  25. the rest of your desktop, but will allow decent colours, without
  26. dithering, in a 16-colour mode.
