Library Name : TELFIX.LBR
Files in Library : TELFIX.PAS By G. Irlam, 1985
TELFIX.COM
FILE-IO.MOD By G. Irlam, 1985
TELFIX.DOC
Computer : Most computers with CP/M and TURBO pascal.
Introduction : The file TELFIX.PAS is a TURBO pascal
programme to remove the first 80h bytes from
a file that was uploaded to a BBS or to
another terminal (not using MicroBee's
TELCOM) by the Microbee's TELCOM. Telcom,
being a non-standard programme puts a header
on files it sends that contains the file
name and 1Ah characters. Hence the file
cannot be executed until this header is
removed. If the file is small, it can be
removed in DDT or DU etc. but when the file
is greater in size than the TPA (memory)
the header cannot be removed. Hence to the
rescue comes TELFIX !
Use : The file that contains the header is first
asked by TELFIX and then the name of the
file you which to have the fixed file
called. That all folks !!!
Comments : The file FILE-IO.MOD is a file that allows
the user to open/close/use files on the disk
by calling the approiate procedure. See the
actual file (it is written in TURBO) for
more infomation.
PLEASE NOTE : The file TELFIX.COM was compiled on a
Microbee CIAB (56k) and may work on other computers as well but
it is unlikely (it may even not work on other CIAB's). This is
because TURBO has to know where TOP OF MEMORY is and this differs
on all computers, even if it is only one bute. Hence, TURBO
cannot make proper .COM's. I have included it if you do not have
TURBO and I hope that it works. The TOP OF MEMORY is 3000h. This
should be suitable for most CP/M computers.
