  9.            Version 2.66 is expected to be the last release of CP/M 
  10.       VDE.  Rash as that claim may sound, consider that:
  11.           (1) All known bugs have now been fixed;
  12.           (2) As many new features have been added as memory 
  13.              limitations will reasonably allow;
  14.           (3) Many people (myself included!) are using CP/M ever less 
  15.              often.
  16.       So: while the MSDOS version will continue to develop, I think 
  17.       CP/M VDE is about finished.  Thanks to all who've helped.

  21.      This is a quick guide to changes in VDE since version 2.65.  Please read 
  22. VDE.DOC and VINST.DOC for full details.  These changes are relatively minor; 
  23. version 2.66 is being released now in order to tie up some loose ends, and 
  24. wrap up the development of CP/M VDE.  Enjoy!

  27. VDE/VDM:

  29.      Two new Print (^KP) options allow setting the printer top and left 
  30. margin.  At the "Options" prompt, type "T" followed by the number of lines to 
  31. skip, and/or "L" followed by the columns to skip:
  32.               Options: T4L12
  33. will skip 4 lines at the top and 12 columns at the left.  See PRINTING.

  38.      You can choose a default setting for the new printer left margin, 
  39. originally 0.  See PRINTER INSTALLATION.

  42. MINOR CHANGES:

  44.      Several small problems have been fixed.  In addition:

  46.      1.  You can now mark the end of a block (^KK) before the start (^KB) has 
  47. been marked.
  48.  
  49.      2.  ^QT can now be used repeatedly; it does not stall on the specified 
  50. character.  (If the cursor is on a ".", "^QT." will delete to the NEXT one.)

  52.      3.  Tab Set (^OI) "@n" sets tabs at column n+1, 2n+1... (not n, 2n...)

  57.      NOTE: If you also use MSDOS, look for VDE121.ARC.  The DOS version of VDE 
  58. includes powerful new features such as dual-file editing and DOS commands, and 
  59. is fully compatible with the CP/M version.
