  3.                A read-me-first file for HIST197.LBR

  6. HIST197.AZM -- Crunched version of HIST197.ASM, a modification of
  7.                Stuart Rose's HISTORY.ASM, version 1.9, from his 
  8.                HISTORY.LBR.  The .COM files produced with this 
  9.                source load a memory-resident program that allows 
  10.                the user to recall and edit previous command lines 
  11.                or user responses.  This one source program can give 
  12.                programs for either CP/M 2.2 or 3.0 by setting a 
  13.                logical switch before assembly.  More information
  14.                and auxiliary programs necessary for the CP/M 3.0
  15.                version may be found in HISTORY.LBR (not included
  16.                here) and in HIST197.DOC.

  18. HIST197.COM -- Executable program for CP/M 2.2 that emulates the
  19.                recall and edit features of VAX/VMS 4.x.  This  
  20.                program loads a memory-resident "daemon" that can 
  21.                recall up to 23 command lines.  The printer toggle
  22.                CTRL-P is implemented.  The user may choose between
  23.                saving all responses and saving only those addressed
  24.                to CP/M.  See HIST197.DOC for other features.

  27.                tutorial and an explanation of all differences
  28.                between HIST197 and HISTORY version 1.9.
