  11.    Z3INSTP  is  an  auto-installer for  Turbo-Pascal programs running on ZCPR3 
  12. systems.  It installs video control sequences  directly  from ZCPR3 TCAPs into 
  13. other programs compiled by Turbo-Pascal.è

  16.    Usage:  Z3INSTP [du:]filename[.com]
  17.  
  18.    ...where filename is the name of a .COM file optionally prefixed with a DU:
  19. specification.  Note that  the .COM extension is optional on the command line.
  20. If a file of .COM type is not found, an error message will result.

  22.    Z3INSTP checks to see if the specified file was compiled under Turbo-Pascal
  23. (version 2.0 or higher), aborting if it was not.

  25.    As  an  added measure of  safety,  Z3INSTP  first  renames  the file  to be 
  26. installed with  the name filename.OLD, then  creates  a  new file from scratch 
  27. upon which the new  installed values are placed.  If  for  some reason Z3INSTP 
  28. fails, simply  rename  filename.OLD  back  to  filename.COM.  If  filename.OLD 
  29. already exists, you are queried before the old copy is deleted.

  32.    Options:  H  -  turns off highlighting in the program being installed
  33.  
  34.              R  -  reverses what is highlighted and what is not
  35.  
  36.              A  -  installs the arrow keys
  37.  
  38.    For option 'A' to work, the program documentation must specify that arrow
  39. keys can be installed this way (as of now, the only program that can be
  40. installed in this way is FATCAT.COM).  If the program you are installing does
  41. not support this convention, it does no harm.

  45. Z3INSTP Notes:

  47.    a. Z3INSTP  is  a  ZCPR3 utility  and  accesses  the environment descriptor
  48.       automatically, instead of  needing  it  to  be  specified on the command
  49.       line.  Like  most  Z3 utilities,  it  comes with  its  own built-in help 
  50.       screen.  Z3INSTP  also  gives  full control  of user areas with Z3's DU:
  51.       specification, but not the DIR: form.

  53.    b. Version 2.0 adds command line options to:
  54.  
  55.       - turn off highlighting
  56.  
  57.       - REVERSE high and low video 
  58.  
  59.       - install the  arrow keys directly  into  the  program  for  any program 
  60.         written to take advantage of this capability.

  66.    c. Z3INSTP cannot  make Turbo programs use the TCAP the same effortless way
  67.       ZCPR3 utilities do.  That is,  it  can only install programs to specific
  68.       TCAPs.  Programs  must  be  reinstalled  for each  TCAP used.  You can't
  69.       simply LDR a new TCAP and expect your program to work right.

  71.    d. Z3INSTP will  not work on terminals with "non-fixed-length ASCII" cursor
  72.       addressing sequences.  These are  terminals which  use the "%d" in their
  73.       cursor addressing.  For example, the H19 terminal ANSI mode, whose ZCPR3
  74.       cursor addressing sequence is:  1BH,'[%d;%dH',0.  s.
