EXPLANATORY NOTES FOR SUPERIOR COMPUTER SOFTWARE:
When you boot up Superior Computer Software
you will be given some short notes and then you
will get the menu. Then you can choose the
required game.
***** Notes for NANOC THE DESTROYER. *****
When you boot up NANOC THE DESTROYER you
will get test noises. You can press "H" to speed
things up.
At the main menu there are a number of
functions. They are:
1) "G" to begin game.
2) "I" for instructions.
3) "S" to pause music.
4) "C" to edit a level.
5) "CTRL \" to initialise printer routine.
6) "`" to set level.
7) "~" to set men.
8) "Q" to go to the menu.
"G" will begin the game using the
defult level and men; ie: level 1, men 3.
"I" will give you complete instructions. You
can press BACKSPACE to see the previous page, or
press any key for the next page. After the
pages of instructions you will be shown the levels
of NANOC.
"S" will pause the music until you press any
key.
"C" will allow you to create a level, provided
that you know the password. The current password
is "BEETLEWOPPER". This password is built-in to
the programme and cannot be changed. You can,
however, add up to 400 of your own passwords. If
you wish to do this, when prompted to "ENTER THE
PASSWORD:" you should type "THE PASSWORD". Then
you will be asked to enter the next alternate
password. From this stage you can do three things:
1) You can type in your new password.
2) You can display all the passwords by typing
"DISPLAY PASSWORDS PLEASE YA MUG".
3) If you wish to re-create the password
dictionary, you should type "KILL USER.DAT". Then
you must enter one new password to re-create the
data file.
Be warned; when typing in the password be
careful of what you type as it comes out as stars
on the screen. If you enter a wrong password or
mis-type then you will be punished severely.
"CTRL \" will prompt you to enter a
password. There is only one password for
this: "42 PIGLETS". Then you will be given
appropriate instructions.
"`" will set the level (1 to 9) that you will
start on.
"~" will set the starting of men.
"Q" will return you to the menu.
**** Notes for JUMPMAN: ****
When you boot up JUMPMAN you must wait for a
short time while the graphics are
initialised. Then you will be given full
instructions.
NOTE: Jetpacks will only work if you have more
than 10 fuel units; every time you step on a fuel
container you will get three fuel units. Springs
are to be avoided. They will bounce you up.
When you come down you will be moving at the
slowest speed.
Every time you go up one stage you get
extra hits.
If you want to change the scenario for
Jumpman then you must press "CTRL \" when it
prompts you to "PRESS ANY KEY FOR FURTHER
INSTRUCTIONS". Then you will by asked for two
passwords. The first password is "BEETLEWOPPER".
The second password is "BLEAH". Then you will
have to wait for a few minutes as the computer
generates some random scenery. When the second
number on the screen reaches 12000 you will be
returned to Jumpman.
Finally, if you have any problems please
