  7. What is EditPlus
  8. ----------------
  9. EditPlus is an Internet-ready, 32-bit text editor for Windows. 
  10. While it can serve as a good replacement for Notepad, it also 
  11. offers many powerful features for Web page authors and 
  12. programmers.

  14. It has powerful syntax highlighting for HTML, ASP, JavaScript, 
  15. VBScript, Perl, Java, C/C++ and any other programming languages, 
  16. based on the default syntax files or user-defined syntax files,
  17. for both the screen display and the printing.

  19. Internet features include a seamless Web browser for previewing 
  20. HTML contents and Java applets without leaving the editor, 
  21. highlighting and activating URLs and e-mail addresses, an HTML 
  22. toolbar for common HTML tags with a color picker, a character 
  23. picker and a table generator.

  25. Other features include custom tools with an output window, 
  26. auto-completion for common phrases, cliptext, column selection, 
  27. powerful search and replace, a spell checker, customizable 
  28. keyboard shortcuts, column markers, and more.

  46. - Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0 or higher

  48. Install
  49. -------
  50. If you downloaded a self-extracting setup file 
  51. (epsetup.exe), just run the executable.
  52.  
  53. If you downloaded a zip file (eppxx.zip), extract it to 
  54. temporary directory, then execute SETUP.EXE. In rare case, 
  55. if you fail to complete setup, you can skip setup and 
  56. manually extract all files into specific directory and 
  57. run EDITPLUS.EXE directly.

  61. Execute 'Uninstall EditPlus' in the EditPlus Start Menu 
  62. folder or open 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel and 
  63. double-click EditPlus in the list box.
