  6. Subject: Kermit for Japanese Microcomputers and NTT Lisp Machine

  8. Kermit for Japanese micro computers is supported.  Kermit for the
  9. following computers is available:
  10.  
  11.    (1) NEC PC8800 on CP/M-80
  12.    (2) NEC PC9800 on CP/M-86
  13.    (3) FUJITSU FM-8 on CP/M-80
  14.    (4) FUJITSU FM-11 on MS-DOS
  15.    (5) IBM5550 on MS-DOS
  16.    
  17. In addition to these computers, Kermit for NTT Lisp Machine ELIS
  18. was written by its language TAO. TAO is a dialect of Lisp which
  19. unifies an object-oriented programming paradigm and a logic
  20. programming paradigm with a procedural programming paradigm.
  21. NTT Lisp Machine (interpreter) runs 1.3 times faster than SYMBOLICS
  22. LISP MACHINE (compiler).

  28. Is it useful for you to get Kermit sources for Japanese computers?
  29. I hesitate to send these sources because of the following reasons.
  30.  (1) These Kermits will not be widely used in the USA.
  31.  (2) Kermit on CP/M-80 is based on the old Kermit version.
  32.  
  33. We have translated an important part of the Kermit manuals into Japanese.
