A Kermit for UNISYS A-series mainframes was annonunced some months ago. I
got the files and a colleague of mine at Sveriges Riksbank tried to patch
it for UNISYS A-series with Swedish national charaters. The code was good
but it was not possible to change it for our national swedish characters
because there was not a usable entry point for a patch like this. It
compiled ok, but our Swedish national characters prevented it from working.
We are running another Kermit on the A10 machine but that can only use 94
bytes packages. I can't explain it better than this because I am not working
with the UNISYS mainframe any longer. Changes has been done for this other
Kermit but all changes has been done in the NDL, (Network Definition Language)
and not in the Kermit algol source.
