MS-DOS KERMIT 3.10 SAMPLE INITIALIZATION AND COMMAND FILES May 1991
MSICSP.INI
MS-DOS Kermit terminal setup for "CRISP".
MSIEAS.HLP, MSIEAS.BOO
Describes a menu-driven "shell" developed by Prof. R.A. Elnicki of the
University of Florida for MS-DOS Kermit 2.31. This is a collection of
programs, batch files, Kermit command files, etc, which are combined into
an ARC file (which can be dearchived using a program like PKXARC), which
has then been BOO'd for Kermit distribution (see MSBAAA.HLP).
MSIEMA.HLP, MSIEMA.INI
An initialization file for using MS-DOS Kermit with host-resident EMACS
text editors. It assigns the "meta" function to the PC's Alt key, so that
Alt-x produces Meta-x, etc. It also sets up the cursor keys to send the
corresponding EMACS command (uparrow sends Ctrl-P, etc), and on extended
keyboards it assigns appropriate EMACS commands to Page Up/Down, Home, etc.
MSIEM2.INI
Another initialization file for using MS-DOS Kermit with EMACS.
MSIHAY.TAK
This is the HAYES.TAK script program from "Using MS-DOS Kermit", which
implements a DIAL command for use with Hayes modems.
MSIIBM.DOC, MSIIBM.INI
This is a sample MS-DOS Kermit initialization file for versions 2.31 and
2.32 (i.e. not using any 3.0 features, but which should still run
under version 3.0) used at Columbia University. It includes macros for
logging in to various kinds of computer systems, dialing through an IBM/Rolm
CBX, setting up the PC's keys for the 7171 IBM 3270 protocol converter,
and setting screen fore- and background colors.
MSIIBM.TUT
This is a tutorial introduction to MS-DOS Kermit's initialization and
command files and elementary script programming, oriented towards Columbia
University readers, written for MS-DOS Kermit 2.30, but still applicable.
MSILOG.SCR
A sample MS-DOS Kermit login script.
MSIRB1.INI
A keyboard setup file for MS-DOS Kermit on the DEC Rainbow. Assigns
appropriate EMACS commands to FIND, REMOVE, the arrow keys, etc.
MSIRB2.INI
A VT200 keyboard setup file for MS-DOS Kermit on the DEC Rainbow.
MSIVT2.INI
A VT200 keyboard setup suitable for use with VAX/TPU, also including some
German key mapping. For MS-DOS Kermit 2.31.
MSIVT3.INI
Keyboard setup files for MS-DOS Kermit 3.0 for DEC keyboard functionality
(DEC F-keys, editing keys) for the IBM extended keyboard, a VT300 layout for
the original IBM 88-key keyboard
MSIWP.INI
An MS-DOS Kermit 2.31 initialization file to set Kermit up for use with
host-resident versions of WordPerfect.
MSIWP3.INI
An MS-DOS Kermit 3.0 initialization file to set Kermit up for use with
host-resident versions of WordPerfect (especially Unix).
MSIWP3.COM
A VAX/VMS DCL command file to set up WordPerfect 5.0 on VAX/VMS to use the
same keys as set up by MSIWP3.INI for Unix-resident WordPerfect versions.
MSIMSW.INI
An MS-DOS Kermit 3.0 initialization file to map Kermit's keys for
host-resident versions of Microsoft Word.
MSIXSE.HLP, MSIXSE.C, MSIXSE.BOO
The "Xsend" program. This utility, when run on an MS-DOS computer, writes
an MS-DOS Kermit command file that can be used for sending an entire
directory tree (the contents of a specified directory and all its
subdirectories) from the local MS-DOS Kermit to an MS-DOS Kermit server on
another PC.
