  1. PC Valet Super Menu (VMENU) is shareware and is not a public domain program.
  2. Individuals  are  granted a free license to use VMENU for up to 30 days for 
  3. evaluation  purposes.  To continue using  VMENU  after that time,  you must
  4. register VMENU in one of the following manners.
  5.  
  6. Registrations that are available.
  7.   
  8.   1>   FOR INDIVIDUALS: TO USE WHAT YOU HAVE:
  9.   For $15, as an individual,  you  register the copy that you currently 
  10.   have.  You are then granted a license to use VMENU on any computer as long
  11.   as only one copy of VMENU is ever in use at any one time.
  12.   
  13.   2>   FOR ANYONE: A DISK WITH THE LATEST VERSION, A HARD COPY OF THE 
  14.   DOCUMENTATION AND FREE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:
  15.   For $25, you  will  receive the latest  version of VMENU (or the next
  16.   available  version  if  you  have  the  latest)  and  a hard  copy  of the
  17.   documentation.  You will also be notified of updates to  VMENU  (these are
  18.   free when you send a blank disk upon notification). You are then granted a
  19.   license to use the latest version of VMENU on any computer as long as only
  20.   one copy of VMENU is ever in use at any one time.
  21.   
  22.   3>   FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESSES:
  23.   Site licenses  and  multi-copy  licenses  are available  at super low
  24.   costs.  A site license covers all computers that are owned by your company
  25.   and as a FREE bonus,  the computers of all your current employees.  Please
  26.   contact  Center Post  for more  information on site licenses.  Include the
  27.   number of company owned computers  that the license will apply to.  Please
  28.   include your phone number.

  39. DISTRIBUTION

  41. This package may be freely distributed provided that no  files are modified
  42. in any manner.  The following files MUST be distributed with VMENU in their
  43. original unmodified version:

  46.       MMAP.COM            (shows memory usage)
  47.       VMENU.DEF           (Color default VMENU Definition file)

  50.       VMENU.GAM           (Sample menu)

  53. The  manner  of  distribution of this package  does  not  relieve the final 
  54. recepient of the package from the obligation  to register this product with
  55. CenterPost Group or John Junod.   Also the recepient of the package MUST be
  56. made aware of the fact that this  is  not  a public domain program and that
  57. they are required to register VMENU to be able to continue to use it.

  59. VMENU.EXE must  not be modified in any manner.  You are not allowed to edit
  60. the messages that appear in VMENU.EXE with any kind of editor.

  62. WARRANTY
  63.  
  64. With respect  to the physical disk, the author warrents the same to be free
  65. of defects  in materials  and workmanship  for a period of 30 days from the
  66. date of  purchase.  In the event of notification within the warrenty period
  67. of defects  in  material  or  workmanship,  the  author  will  replace  the
  68. defective diskette.   The  remedy for  breach of  this  warranty  shall  be
  69. limited to replacement and shall not encompass any other damages, including
  70. but not  limited to loss of profit, and special, incidental, consequential,
  71. or other similar claims.

  73. The author  specifically  disclaims  all  other  warranties,  expressed  or
  74. implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability
  75. and fitness  for a  particular purpose  with  respect  to  defects  in  the
  76. diskette and documentation.  In no event shall the author or the CenterPost
  77. Group  be  liable  for any loss of profit  or  any other commercial damage,
  78. including but not limited to  special,  incidental,  consequential or other
  79. damages.

  81. The author retains all rights to this package and the right to make updates
  82. to this  package without  notification to  the purchaser.   This package is
  83. sold and distributed "as is".

  89. HOW TO START AND USE:
  90.  
  91.   VMENU requires DOS 3.xx.
  92.  
  93.   To start VMENU, either  a) copy VMENU.DEF to the root directory of your 
  94.   driver  or  b) change to a directory that both VMENU.EXE and VMENU.DEF
  95.   are located in and enter VMENU  or  c) enter VMENU \pathto\VMENU.DEF.
  96.  
  97.   Key help is displayed by pressing SHIFT and a function key.
  98.  
  99.   Selections are executed by pressing a function key.
  100.  
  101.   Menu modification is initiated by pressing CTRL-F6.
  102.  
  103.   If you have a mono- card, copy BWMENU.DEF to \VMENU.DEF or start with
  104.   "VMENU BWMENU.DEF".
