The Message Section: The Enter Message Command
At the first prompt, you will be given a chance to write an 8 letter name for
your message. This is the name that will be displayed on Quicklist. Next you
are asked for a subject. This is a brief description (32 chars or less), of
the message. Next you are asked who the message is to. If you press enter
it will be for all. If you type a name, it will be put in their mailbox.
Aftr this you are asked if you wish to use a visual editor. This is an
external editor that the Sysop has defined. Make sure you have ANSI emulation
on, if you wish to use this feature. The rest of these instructions are for
the internal editor:
You may then type your message. It may only be 20 lines long. Press enter
on a blank line when you are finished. When you press Enter, you will be
shown a menu, which allows you to continue typing the message (C), Save the
message (S), or abort it, and not save it (A). That is how you enter
a message.
