  2. Select a FILE, Option F is selected before choosing any other PHOTOLOG MAIN
  3. MENU option (except the HELPFUL INFORMATION option).  The Select  a FILE
  4. option is used to select a new file or change from one existing file to
  5. another.
  6.  
  7. To use the FILE Selection option:
  8.  
  9. 1.  Press <F> from the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU.  The screen will clear and a prompt
  10.     will be displayed to enter the PHOTOLOG data file drive and name.
  11.  
  12. 2.  Type the drive letter, a colon (:), and file name then, press <RETURN>.  Do
  13.     NOT enter file extension.  PHOTOLOG automatically assigns the data file an
  14.     extension of PLG and the corresponding index file an extension of NX3.  If
  15.     the entered file format is incorrect, an error message will be displayed
  16.     indicating the error.  Re-enter the file drive and name as described above.

  18.     If the data file and corresponding index file exist, the screen will clear
  19.     and the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU will be displayed.
  20.  
  21.     If the data file exists, but the index file is not found on the same drive,
  22.     the index file will be recreated.  Once the index file is created, press
  23.     any key to return to the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU.
  24.  
  25.     If the data file does not exist, PHOTOLOG will ask if it should be created.
  26.     Press <Y> to create this file or <N> to cancel the request.  Press any key
  27.     to return to the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU.

  29.     NOTE:  If <Y> is pressed to create a new file, the only function that is
  30.            permitted is ADD data.  Once records have been added, any other
  31.            PHOTOLOG functions may be selected.
