On May 25th 1578 a vessel from Rotterdam arrived to Stockholm. It was under the command of Jacob T├╢nneson and carried an exceptionally valuable and varied cargo. In addition to salt and different cloths and spices, it included 6 Italian violins and a number of paintings. With the ship Dutch merchant Jost van Lambrucht also brought a great deal of glasses: 52 cristallo glasses, 75 cristallo drinking glasses, 6 cristallo bowls, 4 cristallo goblets, 72 small cristallo glasses, 12 cristallo tankards, 12 cristallo drinking vessels, 24 small cristallo glasses with a cover, 100 wine R├╢mers from Frankfurt and 100 simple cristallo glasses, altogether 34 talers in value. The value of the shipΓÇÖs whole cargo was 4889 talers 20 ├╢re.
