The masters of forest glasshouses were skilful manipulators of glass. During the Late Middle Ages they made ever more complex objects, including beakers with a ΓÇÿnetlikeΓÇÖ foot shaped from a glass trail. The sides of beakers were also decorated with different kinds of milled trails or unusual relief patterns, for example, with bear's-head prunts. The glassblowers also produced various humorous objects, such as boot glasses. Many late medieval and 16th-century objects were made only in small quantities. Although many of these were not part of the regular selection, they have been discovered especially from Bergen.
