The green ribbed beakers have distinct vertical ribs made by mould-blowing. The beakers are somewhat smaller than todayΓÇÖs drinking glasses, about 5 to 8 cm in height. Green ribbed beakers were produced at the end of the 14th and in the 15th century in western Germany, the Netherlands and northern France. These simple beakers did not spread to the Baltic area or Scandinavia, but an unusual exception, however, is made by a fragment of a ribbed beaker discovered in Bergen.
