The colourless beakers with a flared mouth and a decoration mainly of applied blue glass trails are typical of the Baltic area and especially of its eastern regions. In fact, these beakers dating from the end of the 14th and the beginning of the 15th century are not even known from anywhere else, as far we know. The metal used in the beakers is similar to that of Fadenrippenbechers, which points to a Bohemian or northern German origin. The beakers have most likely spread to Tartu and as far as Turku and Stockholm along with the trade carried on by the Teutonic Order.
