  4. Installation:

  6. You must use the CD driver MSCDEX version 2.23.
  7. CD read errors occur with some files
  8. with earlier versions of the MSCDEX driver.
  9.

  11. Troubleshooting:
  12.  
  13. 1. The programme does not work properly and/or 
  14.    keeps giving error messages:
  15.    Increase the size of the swap file. The
  16.    programme requires at least 4 MB of memory.
  17.    If your computer has e.g. 4 MB RAM, 
  18.    you should create a 4 MB swap file.
  19.  
  20. 2. The colours of the pictures/animations are incorrect:
  21.    Make sure that you have installed a graphics driver and
  22.    graphics card which are capable of displaying at least 
  23.    256 colours at a resolution of 640x480.
  24.    Look up how to install such an SVGA driver
  25.    in the Windows manual.

  27. 3. You cannot hear any music or sounds:
  28. - Check whether you have installed a sound card
  29.   and whether it functions correctly with other
  30.   Windows applications.
  31. - Check that the loudspeakers or headphones
  32.   are connected.
  33. - Make sure that the volume control is at
  34.   the right setting.
  35. - Make sure that all the required sound drivers
  36.   have been installed and set correctly in the Windows
  37.   system setup.
