Egyptians Sampler
--------------------
Version CD 1.0
This Sampler is designed to run on computers running Windows 95 which
have at least 8 megabytes of memory and a double speed CD ROM drive.
It will work with a 640x480 pixels 256 colour display. For better
QuickTime quality it is advisable to switch to thousands of colours
if your computer supports it.
Please note that the full release disc will also be compatible with
Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups.
INSTALLATION
1. From the 'Start' menu, select 'Run...'.
2. Type D:\ANGLIA\SETUP.EXE and press RETURN or click OK
(substitute another drive letter if the CD ROM is not in drive D.)
3. Select 'Install'. The system will set up a Windows Group called
'Anglia Multimedia'.
RUNNING THE PROGRAM
Click on the 'Start' icon and access the 'Programs submenu'. Then from
the 'Anglia Multimedia' submenu click on the 'Egyptians Sampler' icon.
CONDITIONS OF USE
This sampler is licensed for single machine use only. It is not licensed
for use across a network. It is not licensed for use in educational
establishments. Users may make copies of text and picture resources from the
full release CD-ROM for their own home use only provided that such copies
shall not be made available to any other persons. The video clips and
sound samples must NOT be extracted from this sampler or run from any
other medium. Full details of the licence and the copyright for the full
release disc are given in the booklet supplied with the disc.
TROUBLESHOOTING
This section is designed to help users who experience difficulty using
the sampler.
Q) When I run the program I get the error 'QuickTime does not appear
to be installed'.
A) Check that you chose to update your QuickTime installation
when running SETUP.EXE. If you did not, restart your computer
and install the disc again electing to update your QuickTime
installation. If you still get the error, try installing
QT32.EXE within this directory and running the disc again
Q) The audio seems to play at the wrong pitch and/or plays unreliably.
A) You need to disable the Quicktime automatic rate adjustment
feature as follows:
i) Click on the 'Start' icon and select the 'Control Panel' icon from
'Settings' submenu.
ii) Double click on the 'QuickTime' icon.
iii) Click on the 'More' button.
iv) Click on the 'Audio' tab.
v) Uncheck the 'Automatic Rate Adjustment' box.
vi) Click on 'Apply'.
vii) Click on 'Close'.
viii) Restart your computer and run the sampler again.
