  58. Discover Me, Dream finder, and Inspiration Station.  
  59. After signing in and choosing a password, explore the three sections 
  60. of the CD in any order.

  62. At any point during the game:

  64. * Click on the "Main" button to get back to the Main Menu screen. 
  65. * Click on the Help button for help.
  66. * Click on the Audio On/Off button to control the sound.
  67. * Click on the Quit Game button to exit the game.

  69. Section One:  Discover Me

  71. Christina Aguilera's interactive scrapbook has photos and mementos 
  72. that have never been seen before. Click on any picture to enlarge it. 
  73. The next button brings up the next set of photos.  The Previous button 
  74. takes you back to the previous set. Click on the Discover Me button to 
  75. return to the main screen in this section.

  78. Section Two: Dream Finder

  80. Get inside your own head and heart by playing three activities:
  81. a personality quiz, a "Things I Like" shooter game, and a fortune teller
  82. set of Dream Cards. In each activity you will be rewarded with a "Dream 
  83. Key," which you can use in the Inspiration Station.

  86. Who I Am Personality Quiz

  88. Who I Am is a new take on an old favorite: the personality quiz. 
  89. Answer ten questions to get a paragraph describing your personality 
  90. type along with a dream key to use in the scrapbook.

  93. The Things I Like 
  94.  
  95. Capture the bubble you are most like by shooting colored paint onto 
  96. the bubbles. Rain clouds drift by, obscuring the bubbles and increasing 
  97. the level of challenge. Collect three bubbles to get a paragraph 
  98. describing your personality type along with a dream key to use in the 
  99. scrapbook. Click on the Replay button to replay this game.

  102. Dream Cards
  103.  
  104. Click on the buttons to access each of the three sections in this dream 
  105. forecaster card game: "Discover Yourself," "Understand Others," or 
  106. "Love and Honesty."  In "Discover Yourself," click on the cards for 
  107. insight into different times in your life - past, present and future. 
  108. In "Understand Others" and "Love and Honesty," enter the names of three 
  109. people in the spaces above the cards. Click on each card to reveal a 
  110. fortune and win a "Dream Key."

  113. Section Three: Inspiration Station 
  114.  
  115. In this interactive scrapbook, create a collage of the "Dream Keys" you 
  116. have collected alongside background patterns, stamps, and Christina 
  117. Aguilera pictures. Add and delete images by dragging and dropping the art 
  118. onto the scrapbook page.  Click on the "Previous" Button to view past 
  119. entries and the "Next Page" button to flip to the next completed page of 
  120. the scrapbook.  Click on "Delete Page" to delete the current page of the 
  121. scrapbook, and "New Page" to create a new scrapbook page.

  138. C. Installation

  140. 1. Insert the Christina Aguilera: Follow Your Dreams CD in the CD-ROM drive.
  141. 2. If your system supports the AutoPlay feature, then the
  142. Setup will start automatically. Just follow the prompts.
  143. 3. However, if your system does not support AutoPlay, then select
  144. the Start button.
  145. 4. Choose Run from the Start Menu.
  146. 5. At the Open box, type "D:\install.exe." If your CD-ROM drive is a
  147. different letter than D, type that letter in place of D.
  148. 6. Click on OK and follow the prompts.

  151. D. Uninstalling
  152.     ------------
  153. Follow these steps to use the uninstall function available under Windows 95 or 98 to remove Christina Aguilera Follow Your Dreams from your system:

  155. 1. Click on Start. 
  156. 2. Move cursor to Settings. 
  157. 3. Click on Control Panel. 
  158. 4. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs. 
  159. 5. Click on Christina Aguilera Follow Your Dreams.
  160. 6. Click on Add/Remove. 
  161. 7. Click on Yes to complete the uninstall. 
  162. 8. Go to Windows Explorer and delete the Christina from the Knowledge Adventure folder on your hard drive.

  170. 2. For systems with AutoPlay enabled, click on the Play button when prompted

  172. 3. If you do not have AutoPlay enabled, select Start, Programs, Christina 
  173. Aguilera: Follow Your Dreams, and click on Christina Aguilera: Follow Your Dreams icon.

  176.       manufacturer's documentation for instructions on special 
  177.       circumstances.

  182. G. Troubleshooting and Performance Tips

  188. 1. Close any unnecessary applications that may be running.
  189. 2. Make sure your display setting is at 640x480 resolution
  190. and 16 bit colors. Refer to your system or Windows« documentation.

  195. If you experience graphics problems while running the program,
  196. try running the program in High Color (16-bit) mode in 
  197. 640x480 resolution.

  205. If you experience sound problems while running Christina Aguilera: 
  206. Follow Your Dreams, contact your sound card or system vendor to 
  207. obtain the latest version of their sound driver.

  209. If there is any unusual audio behavior on your system while 
  210. running the program:

  212. * Press the Ctrl+Esc keys, or Alt + F4 + ESC, then click back on the program screen, 
  213. or press Alt+Tab and then click back to the program screen.

  218. Screen savers:

  220. If you are running a screen saver in the background and experience
  221. video and sound problems during the program, disable the screen saver
  222. and the problem should be resolved. Refer to your screen saver 
  223. documentation to find out how to disable the screen saver.

  225. Windows 95/98« Taskbar
  226. --------------------------
  227. The Windows« taskbar may interfere with the user's ability to view
  228. graphics, animations and program information in certain activities. 
  229. If you encounter difficulties when the Windows« 95/98 
  230. taskbar appears on the screen, enable the taskbar's Auto Hide feature:
  231.  
  232. 1. Click the Start button, then select Settings, then Taskbar.
  233. 2. At the dialog box that appears, uncheck "Always on top" and 
  234. check "Auto hide."
  235. 3. Click the Apply button, then the OK button.
  236.  
  237. You also have the option of relocating the Taskbar to different sides
  238. of the display screen:
  239.  
  240. *   Click and hold down the mouse pointer on a blank area of the
  241. Taskbar.
  242. *   Drag and release the Taskbar on the side of the screen where it 
  243. causes the least interference.

  245. Note: If you need to access the Taskbar or the Start menu at any time 
  246. while the program is running, press CTRL+ESC. To return to the program,
  247. click on the program's display area, or press ALT+TAB until the program's
  248. icon is selected.

  252. Improving system performance (Windows 95/98«)

  255. These tips are designed to improve your system's performance:

  257. 1. Right-click the My Computer icon on the desktop, then click 
  258. Properties.
  259. 2. From the dialog box, select the Performance tab.
  260. 3. Click the File System button.
  261. 4. Select the CD-ROM tab. Set the Supplemental cache size to Large.
  262. 5. Match the Optimize access pattern setting to that of your CD-ROM.
  263. 6. Click Apply, then OK. 
  264. 7. Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

  268. Reinstalling

  270. If you have deleted or uninstalled any parts of the program and are
  271. having problems reinstalling, follow these steps to manually reinstall
  272. the program:

  275. 2. Select the Start button.
  276. 3. Choose Run from the Start menu.
