OCR: The most famous example is the flag of Denmark, the Dannebrog, which according to legend was an actual flag which fell from Heaven. This could be "proved' in former times by pointing to an actual flag kept in Slesvig Cathedral until about 1660. Because the Danes were victorious the flag became famous. The story is reminiscent of the 'vision' of a cross supposedly shown to the Emperor Constantine before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in CE312. The cross was P accompanied by a written message: "In this Sign TOYIS? NIKA will you Conquer'. This motto was later taken up by the Greeks fighting for independence in the Divine . Nobles Herore .
