  17. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  18. 1) Decompress all of the files.
  19. 2) Double-Click the Setup program.
  20. 3) You may be prompted for a directory. Simply choose the
  21.    directory where you decompressed the screen saver files.
  22. 4) You will be given an opportunity to change your Display settings.
  23.    If you do not, you may go to the Control Panel and adjust
  24.    your Display settings later.
  25. 5) When the installation is complete, you may delete the files that
  26.    you decompressed.

  29. UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
  30. 1) Go to Control Panel.
  31. 2) Open Add/Remove Programs.
  32. 3) Click on AVI Screen Saver.
  33. 4) Click on Add/Remove.

  36. USING AVI SCREEN SAVER

  40. In order to use AVI Screen Saver, you will need to find some
  41. video files in a format that your computer supports. All Windows
  42. machines support AVI files. If you have Windows Media, from
  43. Microsoft, you will be able to play MPEG and MP3 files
  44. in addition to AVI files. If you have QuickTime from Apple, 
  45. you can take advantage of the built-in QuickTime support.

  47. Once you have some movies, add them to the playlist by clicking
  48. the Add button or dragging them into the playlist window. You
  49. can then adjust their properties by clicking the Properties button.
  50. You can rearrange their order by clicking the Up and Down butons.
  51. Finally, to remove a movie, select it and click Remove. The
  52. playlist editor also supports multiple selection, so you can do
  53. these actions on multiple movies at once.

  55. In the Properties dialog, you can choose to Mute a movie by
  56. checking the Mute option. You can change the Scaling of the
  57. movie by choosing an option from the drop-down list. You can
  58. leave this setting on "Use Global Option" to use the scaling choice
  59. on the main dialog window. You can adjust the number of times the
  60. movie loops by entering a number in the Looping area. If you want
  61. your movie to bounce around the screen (this is processor intensive),
  62. check the Bounce option. To align your movie click on the button
  63. with the graphic that represents the alignment you want. For
  64. example, a centered movie is the button in the middle.
  65. To add titles to your movie, you will need to check the Show Titles
  66. option on the main dialog window. You will also need to enter a
  67. title in the Properties dialog. You also have the option of setting
  68. the font of your title by clicking on the Set Font button.

  70. You can choose a Media Player in the Properties dialog (similar
  71. to the Windows Media Player). If Auto Detect does not work with
  72. your movie, try setting this option manually.

  74. In the global options area, you can set options that apply to all
  75. of the movies. A movie's properties will override these settings.

  77. To save or open a playlist from disk, open the File menu and
  78. choose the appropriate option.

  82. In Windows NT 4, QuickTime 3 does not work in screen saver mode.
