Descent Saved Game Editor
Version 0.42L
*****************
Version Note:
After noting the terrible performance of DESGED on some systems
without large amounts of free memory, I've cut down the graphics a bit
to speed up loading a little. Release L (Lame) uses an 8bit color
background, so if you only use 256 colors in Windows, you won't be
missing anything. A bug that occurs upon minimization may still
persist, so report any such bugs to me if you hit them.
*****************
This is just a little program put together quickly to help in
editing Descent saved game files. It's a Windows program that was
slopped together in VB 2.0 (for general lack of... well, you name it).
The program itself is pretty much self explanatory. After you run it,
just pick your player name from the player box near the bottom of the
screen and your saved games will appear in the box to the right. If you
need to set where your Descent files are located, use the Set Path
button. Try fooling around with the Laser Type setting, it's always fun
flyin' around with Quad Mega Missles as your basic lasers! I've noticed
that the program tends to act up on some systems, so if you notice any
bugs send me some email about it. If there are any more features you'd
like added, let me know. Thanks to Darren Lo for his early PLR Offset
Tables and to the guys at Parallax for a great game.
