Windows adjusts the size of your disk cache based on available memory. If you have multiple applications open at one time, consider closing all non-essential applications. To find out how much memory an open application is using, check the Memory tab of the System Information utility.
If this suggestion does not give you the results you want, consider purchasing additional RAM for your computer so that Windows can increase the size of your disk cache.
