This information will be compiled into a graph representing the way you appear on paper. Remember, when you are being considered for a loan, the person making the decision is seldom the person who interviewed you, therefore, your score and Credit Report become very important. Although not all institutions use credit scoring, and not all scoring methods are the same, this will help give you an idea of how you might score. It is important to note that your Credit Report *ALWAYS* carries more weight then your score, and can sway the decision in your favor in the cases of a unimpressive score. ╔───────────────────────────────╗ │ WHAT DO I DO NEXT * CHECKLIST │ ╚───────────────────────────────╝ Selecting WHAT DO I DO NEXT * CHECKLIST, will display a brief listing of the steps you must take and keeps a record of the steps you have taken. Since you may be working with more than one Credit Agency at a time, and the process could take some time it is important that you know where you are with each agency. This listing will be updated automatically by the program. ╔────────────────────────────────────────╗ │ YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION * ENTER/EDIT │ ╚────────────────────────────────────────╝ Selecting YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, will display a box that will enable you to enter your Name, Address, Social Security Number, Date of Birth, etc. This information MUST be correct, as it will be used later to correct any errors that appear on your report. If you use a middle name or suffix, be sure to enter it. ╔───────────────────────────────────────╗ │ CREDIT BUREAUS ADDRESSES * ENTER/EDIT │ ╚───────────────────────────────────────╝ Selecting CREDIT BUREAU ADDRESSES, will display a list of the major Credit Reporting Agencies, their address and the normal charge for a copy of your Credit Report. All the Major Credit Reporting Agencies have been included, and to effectively repair your credit, you should use this Kit with each agency separately. You have the option to edit any information that may ever change, and to add agencies, should you find it necessary to contact an agency which is not listed. ╔──────────────────────────────────────╗ │ GETTING A COPY OF YOUR CREDIT REPORT │ ╚──────────────────────────────────────╝ Selecting GETTING A COPY OF YOUR CREDIT REPORT, will display a list of the Credit Agencies. Select the one you wish to contact and you will be prompted to answer whether or not you have been denied credit in the last 60 days. If you have, by law, the Credit Agency that provided the Credit information that was used to arrive at the denial, must provide you a with a copy of your Credit Report <if requested> at no charge. Answering <Y>es to this question will prompt you for the name of the Company that denied you credit. Make sure you complete this question if you have been denied credit, or delays will result. If you have not been denied credit, answer <N>o to this question. A copy of the letter with all of your information already on it, will appear in the window for you to review. Pressing <P>rint will print the letter for you to mail to the agency. If you were NOT denied credit, remember to enclose the proper fee. If you have already requested a copy of your report from the selected Credit Reporting Agency, you will be prompted with the date and asked if you wish to send a second request. You should send a second request only after a reasonable period of time has elapsed <2 to 3 weeks> without response from the Credit Reporting Agency. ╔───────────────────────────╗ │ FIXING YOUR CREDIT REPORT │ ╚───────────────────────────╝ Selecting FIXING YOUR CREDIT REPORT, will display the sub-menu with the individual selections for repairing your Credit Report. This selection can only be used AFTER you have received a copy of your Credit Report, using the GETTING A COPY OF YOUR CREDIT REPORT, from the Credit Reporting Agency, and have discovered items you want removed or omissions you want added. ╔─────────────────────────────────╗ │ APPLY FOR A SECURED CREDIT CARD │ ╚─────────────────────────────────╝ Selecting APPLY FOR A SECURED CREDIT CARD, will display a list of banks we have included that have a Secured MasterCard and/or Visa Program. A secured card may be necessary for you to begin to rebuild your credit. <See YOUR CREDIT AND HOW TO FIX IT> for more details. You will be prompted to choose a bank to request the information from, and shown their minimum limit for a secured card. You may also ADD banks to this list if you wish. ╔───────────────────────────╗ │ FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT │ ╚───────────────────────────╝ Selecting FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT will display the law in it's entirety. You may select individual sections from the menu. ╔───────────────────────╗ │ CORRECT PERSONAL INFO │ ╚───────────────────────╝ Selecting CORRECT PERSONAL INFO will display a Warning Screen reminding you that you cannot begin this section until you have received a copy of your Credit Report from the Credit Reporting Agency, and giving you a chance to exit. Next you will be shown a list of Credit Reporting Agencies so you may select the Agency whose report you are currently working on. Finally you will be shown a list of questions, requiring <Y>es or <N>o answers about your personal data. Once you have answered all questions, press <F1> to Save. ╔──────────────────────────╗ │ CORRECT PRIOR EMPLOYMENT │ ╚──────────────────────────╝ Selecting CORRECT PRIOR EMPLOYMENT will display a Warning Screen reminding you that you cannot begin this section until you have received a copy of your Credit Report from the Credit Reporting Agency, and giving you a chance to exit. Next you will be shown a list of Credit Reporting Agencies so you may select the Agency whose report you are currently working on. Next you will be given a chance to enter Employers that you wish to REMOVE from your Credit Report. Finally you will be given a chance to enter Employers that you wish to ADD to your Credit Report. Next you will be given a chance to enter Credit Accounts that you wish to REMOVE from your Credit Report. There are three pages of input allowed, a total of 21 accounts you can list. Next you will be shown a list of Credit Reporting Agencies so you may select the Agency whose report you are currently working on. Next you will be given a chance to enter Prior Inquires that you wish to REMOVE from your Credit Report. Finally you will be given a chance to enter Public Records and other Info you wish to REMOVE from you Credit Report. Once you have entered all the information, press <F1> to Save. ╔──────────────╗ │ DISPUTE FORM │ ╚──────────────╝ Selecting DISPUTE FORM will display a Warning Screen reminding you that you cannot begin this section until you have received a copy of the Investigation Report from the Credit Reporting Agency, and giving you a chance to exit. Next you will be shown a list of Credit Reporting Agencies so you may select the Agency whose report you are currently working on. Next you will be prompted to indicate whether you are disputing Credit Accounts, Other Information or Both. Finally you will be given a chance to enter the Credit Accounts that you are disputing, followed by the Other Information Screen, if you have chosen <B>oth. Once you have entered all of the information, press <F1> to Save. You will then be shown the letter as it will be printed. You may review it at this time. Pressing <P>rint will print the letter ready to be mailed. ╔──────────────────────────╗ │ REMOVAL FOLLOW-UP LETTER │ ╚──────────────────────────╝ Selecting REMOVAL FOLLOW UP LETTER will display a Warning Screen reminding you that you cannot begin this section until you have received a copy of the Investigation Report from the Credit Reporting Agency, and giving you a chance to exit. Next you will be prompted with a list of Credit Reporting Agencies so you may select the Agency whose report you are currently working on. If you have already sent the Removal Form, PEGASUS SOFTWARE'S ULTIMATE CREDIT REPAIR KIT, will remember the date and display it to you, asking you if you want to send a follow up letter. If for some reason the old date cannot be found, you will be prompted for the date of the last letter. You will then be shown a copy of the Follow-Up letter for you to review. Pressing <P>rint will print the letter ready for mailing. ╔──────────────────────────╗ │ DISPUTE FOLLOW-UP LETTER │ ╚──────────────────────────╝ Selecting DISPUTE FOLLOW UP LETTER will display a Warning Screen reminding you that you cannot begin this section until you have received a copy of the Investigation Report from the Credit Reporting Agency, and giving you a chance to exit. Next you will be prompted to indicate the name of the company you are sending this dispute to, including the Name, Address, and Account number. Remember, this letter goes to the individual who is Mis-reporting TO the Credit Agency, so it is important to have an individual's name. This should have been provided to you by the Credit Reporting Agency in response to your dispute letter. When complete press <F1> to Save. You will then be shown a copy of the Follow-Up letter for you to review. Pressing <P>rint will print the letter ready for mailing. ╔──────────────────────────────────────╗ │ VIEW/PRINT CORRECTION/REMOVAL LETTER │ ╚──────────────────────────────────────╝ Selecting VIEW/PRINT CORRECTION/REMOVAL LETTER will display the Removal/ Correction Letter. There will be information here once you have completed the Correct and Remove items that apply from the menu.
