- ; Microsoft Startup Disk Wizard -- Information File
- ;===============================================================================
- ;
- ; The Microsoft Startup Disk Wizard, Nocomp.exe, creates a special startup
- ; floppy disk that you can use to start your computer without loading DriveSpace.
- ; This frees conventional memory for running MS-DOS-based programs.
- ;
- ; This file contains settings that control how the Startup Disk Wizard runs.
- ; It contains three sections:
- ;
- ; [Options] contains settings that modify certain aspects of the
- ; Startup Disk Wizard's behavior.
- ;
- ; [Multipart] specifies how the wizard should handle drivers with multiple
- ; file dependencies.
- ;
- ; [Ignore] lists files the wizard should ignore when processing
- ; your startup files.
- ;
- ; The settings in each section are explained below.
- ;
- ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ; [Options] Section
- ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ; This section contains the Autoexec and Config settings, which specify the
- ; startup files on which to base your Startup Disk.
- ;
- ; By default, the Startup Disk Wizard uses your current Autoexec.bat and
- ; Config.sys files. If you have removed real-mode drivers from your current
- ; Autoexec.bat and Config.sys files, use the Autoexec and Config settings
- ; to specify that the wizard should use your Autoexec.dos and Config.dos
- ; files instead. For example:
- ;
- ; autoexec=C:\autoexec.dos
- ; config=C:\config.dos
- ;
-
- [Options]
- autoexec=c:\autoexec.bat
- config=c:\config.sys
-
- ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ; [Multipart] Section
- ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ;
- ; This section lists any programs that require other files in order
- ; to load properly. The wizard will then copy the specified files to
- ; the destination directory.
- ;
- ; Each program is listed on a separate line using the following syntax:
- ;
- ; programname=file1,file2,file3...
- ;
- ; where
- ;
- ; programname Specifies the filename of the program that requires
- ; other files (for example, Driver.sys).
- ;
- ; file Specifies the location of each file required by
- ; programname. If there is more than one file,
- ; separate the files with commas.
- ;
- ; For example, if Driver.sys required the Driver.inf and Driver.ini files,
- ; you would add the following line:
- ;
- ; driver.sys=driver.inf,driver.ini
- ;
- ; If a program requires more files than fit on one line, you can add
- ; additional lines by repeating the program name with a .1 suffix,
- ; a .2 suffix, and so on. For example, if Myprog.exe requires many files,
- ; you might add the following lines:
- ;
- ; myprog.exe=driver.inf,driver.ini,driver.bat,prog.dll
- ; myprog.exe.1=file.dll,more.dll,whatever.vxd,whatsit.bat
- ; myprog.exe.2=prog.bin
- ;
- ; If a program requires that one of its components be in a subdirectory
- ; relative to the main program file, include the .\ characters and the
- ; relative path for each file. For example, if C:\video\viddrv.sys
- ; requires the Display.inf file to load, and it looks for this file in
- ; the directory C:\video\system, you would add the following line:
- ;
- ; viddrv.sys=.\system\display.inf
-
- [multipart]
- dmdrvr.bin=xbios.ovl
- sbconfig.exe=drv\auxdrv.drv,drv\ct-voice.drv,drv\ctvdsk.drv
- sbconfig.exe.1=drv\ctwdsk.drv,drv\ctwmem.drv,drv\organ.drv
-
- ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ; [Ignore] Section
- ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ; A programs should be listed in the [Ignore] section when it
- ; is not useful or usable when your computer is started using this
- ; startup disk, either because you don't need the program or
- ; because it requires too many support files to fit onto a floppy disk.
- ;
- ; IMPORTANT: Do not remove the first five entries that already exist here.
- ;
- ; For each program that you want Startup Disk Wizard to ignore, use the
- ; following syntax:
- ;
- ; programname=1
- ;
-
- [ignore]
- drvspace.sys=1
- config.sys=1
- autoexec.bat=1
- drvspace.exe=1
