- Windows 95 Drivers

- This file provides driver installation procedures for Windows 95. There are
- two other driver files under the \WIN95 directory of the driver diskette:
- => TRM390.MPD
- => SCSI.INF
-

- < Installing Windows 95 together with DC-390's driver >
- The following procedures are for Windows 95 that is not installed:
-
- 1. Insert the Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Disk into drive "A" of the computer
- for installing the Windows 95 System.
-
- Notes: If your boot device already has DOS system, then boot the system
- from this bootable device and go next to setp 3 of < Adding a DC-390
- Host Adapter > in the next section
-
- 2. Partition and format the hard disk, if your hard disk is not partitioned yet.

- 3. Run "setup.exe" to install Windows 95 System from CD-ROM drive or diskette.
-
- 3.1 For Windows 95 CD-ROM Version, the setup.exe is located on directory
- \WIN95

- 3.2 For Windows 95 floppy diskeete, insert Setup disk #1
-
- 4. Follow the instructions of setup to install Windows 95
-
- 5. After finishing the installation, open the Control Panel to add the DC-390
- PCI SCSI Adapter.

- To open the Control Panel, click the Start button, point to Settings, and
- then click Control Panel.
- OR
- To click the My-Computer icon, and click the Control Panel.

- 6. Click the "Add New Hardware" icon, and click "Next" button.
-
- 7. Click "Install specific hardware" and select "SCSI controller" from the
- Hardware type list.

- Click the "Next" buuton

- 8. Click "Have Disk" button. The next scrren will show:

- "Install From Disk" menu
-
- Insert the diskette, which contains the TRM390.MPD and SCSI.INF, into
- drive A: and change the path to "A:\WIN95".

- Click "OK" button
-
- 9. The next screen will show:
-
- Models: Tekram DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter
-
- Click the "Next" button
-
- 10. The next screen will show:
-
- The hardware you are installing is Plug and Play compatible.
-
- Click "Next" button
-
- 11. The next screen whill shows:
-
- Copy files....
-
- Click "Finish" button
-
- 12. Click "System" icon in Control Panel, and click "Device Manager" item in
- "System Properties" menu.

- 13. Click "SCSI controller" to select device.
- Select "AMD PCI SCSI Controller" and click "Properties" button.
-
- 14. Select "Driver" in "AMD PCI SCSI Controller Properties" menu and click
- "Change Driver" button.

- 15. The next screen will show:

- "Select Device" menu.
-
- Select "Tekram DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter" and click "OK" button.

- 16. Click "OK" and reboot the system.

- 1. Plug the DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter into your computer.
-
- 2. Reboot and Start the Windows 95 system.
-
- 3. Windows 95 will automatically detect the DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter and
- install driver for DC-390.
-
- Note: Since the DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter use the AMD SCSI Chip the
- Windows 95 will find it as AMD SCSI controller and install AMD
- SCSI device driver.

- 4. After Windows 95 install AMD SCSI device driver, you'd need to change the
- AMD device driver to Tekram DC-390 SCSI device driver.

- The procedure to change it is the same as that of < Installing Windows 95
- together with DC-390's driver > => from step 5 to 16.
