  1. Windows 95 Drivers
  2.  
  3. This file provides driver installation procedures for Windows 95. There are
  4. two other driver files under the \WIN95 directory of the driver diskette:
  5. =>    TRM390.MPD
  6. =>    SCSI.INF
  7.

  9. < Installing Windows 95 together with DC-390's driver >
  10. The following procedures are for Windows 95 that is not installed:
  11.  
  12. 1. Insert the Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Disk into drive "A" of the computer
  13.    for installing the Windows 95 System.
  14.  
  15.    Notes: If your boot device already has DOS system, then boot the system
  16.       from this bootable device and go next to setp 3 of < Adding a DC-390
  17.       Host Adapter > in the next section
  18.  
  19. 2. Partition and format the hard disk, if your hard disk is not partitioned yet.
  20.  
  21. 3. Run "setup.exe" to install Windows 95 System from CD-ROM drive or diskette.
  22.  
  23.    3.1 For Windows 95 CD-ROM Version, the setup.exe is located on directory
  24.        \WIN95
  25.  
  26.    3.2 For Windows 95 floppy diskeete, insert Setup disk #1
  27.  
  28. 4. Follow the instructions of setup to install Windows 95
  29.  
  30. 5. After finishing the installation, open the Control Panel to add the DC-390
  31.    PCI SCSI Adapter.
  32.  
  33.    To open the Control Panel, click the Start button, point to Settings, and
  34.    then click Control Panel.
  35.     OR
  36.    To click the My-Computer icon, and click the Control Panel.
  37.  
  38. 6. Click the "Add New Hardware" icon, and click "Next" button.
  39.  
  40. 7. Click "Install specific hardware" and select "SCSI controller" from the
  41.    Hardware type list.
  42.  
  43.    Click the "Next" buuton
  44.  
  45. 8. Click "Have Disk" button. The next scrren will show:
  46.  
  47.        "Install From Disk" menu
  48.  
  49.    Insert the diskette, which contains the TRM390.MPD and SCSI.INF, into
  50.    drive A: and change the path to "A:\WIN95".

  52.    Click "OK" button

  54. 9. The next screen will show:
  55.  
  56.       Models: Tekram DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter
  57.  
  58.    Click the "Next" button
  59.  
  60. 10. The next screen will show:
  61.  
  62.     The hardware you are installing is Plug and Play compatible.
  63.  
  64.     Click "Next" button
  65.  
  66. 11. The next screen whill shows:

  68.        Copy files....

  70.     Click "Finish" button

  72. 12. Click "System" icon in Control Panel, and click  "Device Manager" item in
  73.     "System Properties" menu.

  75. 13. Click "SCSI controller" to select device.
  76.     Select "AMD PCI SCSI Controller" and click "Properties" button.

  78. 14. Select "Driver" in "AMD PCI SCSI Controller Properties" menu and click
  79.     "Change Driver" button.

  81. 15. The next screen will show:

  83.        "Select Device" menu.
  84.  
  85.     Select "Tekram DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter" and click "OK" button.

  87. 16. Click "OK" and reboot the system.

  93. 1. Plug the DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter into your computer.
  94.  
  95. 2. Reboot and Start the Windows 95 system.
  96.  
  97. 3. Windows 95 will automatically detect the DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter and
  98.    install driver for DC-390.
  99.  
  100.    Note: Since the DC-390 PCI SCSI Adapter use the AMD SCSI Chip the
  101.      Windows 95 will find it as AMD SCSI controller and install AMD
  102.      SCSI device driver.

  104. 4. After Windows 95 install AMD SCSI device driver, you'd need to change the
  105.    AMD device driver to Tekram DC-390 SCSI device driver.

  107.    The procedure to change it is the same as that of < Installing Windows 95
  108.    together with DC-390's driver > => from step 5 to 16.
