  1. Windows 95 Driver Library:
  2. --------------------------
  3. This directory contains a copy of the Windows 95 (R) Driver
  4. Library (WDL 95).  The files in this directory contain hardware
  5. device drivers that were not available at the time of the
  6. original release of Windows 95.
  7.  
  8. To find out if a new driver for your hardware is available,
  9. double-click on the file WDL95.HTM in this directory from the
  10. Windows Explorer.

  12. NOTE:
  13. -----
  14. The online version of WDL 95 is constantly updated with the
  15. latest available drivers.  These drivers are available from the
  16. web site http://www.microsoft.com/hwtest/.

  18. To Install a new driver from WDL 95:
  19. ------------------------------------
  20.  Launch Control Panel.
  21.  Double-click the Add New Hardware icon.
  22.  At the prompt Do you want Windows to search for your new hardware? click No.
  23.  Click the hardware type for the driver you are installing.
  24.  Click the Have Disk button.
  25.  Enter the location of the driver file.
  26.  Follow the instructions on your screen.

  28. To upgrade existing drivers:
  29. ----------------------------
  30.  Use the right mouse button to click My Computer, then click Properties
  31.     on the menu that appears.
  32.  Click the Device Manager tab, then double-click the device type
  33.     and the device you want to upgrade.
  34.  Click the Driver tab, then click the Change Driver button.
  35.  Click the Have Disk button.
  36.  Enter the location of the driver file.
  37.  When you are prompted to insert the software installation disk,
  38.     enter the location of the driver file.
  39.  Follow the instructions on your screen.
