  2. Installing a Modem INF from the WDL under Windows 95

  4. 1.  First copy all of the files in this directory onto a blank floppy disk, then remove that disk from the floppy drive.
  5. 2.  Next power down your computer and attach the modem to your machine.
  6. 3.  Power on the modem (if necessary) and then boot your computer.
  7. 4.  Once Windows 95 has booted select "Start" button, choose "Settings" and then "Control Panel".
  8. 5.  Double click on the "Modems" control panel applet and select the "Add" button.
  9. 6.  Answer the "What type of modem do you want to install?" question and select "Next".
  10. 7.  Select the "Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list" option then choose "Next".
  11. 8.  Insert the floppy disk into the floppy drive
  12. 9.  Select the "Have Disk" option when you see the "Select Device" dialog.
  13. 10.  Make sure that the "Copy manufacturers files from" dialog defaults to "A:\" and select Ok.
