  1. This file describes normal monitor installation procedures for
  2. Windows 95.  Use these procedures when installing PnP monitors.
  3.  
  4. DDC INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  5.       If your dispaly adapter and driver support DDC monitors
  6.       the monitor will be automatically detected and installed
  7.       as a "VESA DDC compatible monitor" by Windows 95 at startup.
  8.       Then follow the procedure for manual installation below.
  9.       
  10. MANUAL MONITOR INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  11.      
  12.       Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
  13.  
  14.       Start the "Display" applet program. 
  15.  
  16.       Select the "Settings" page, push the "Change Display Type" button.
  17.  
  18.       Push the "Change" button in the "Monitor Type" area.
  19.  
  20.       Push the "Have Disk" button and press "OK".

  22.       Specify the path to the INF file and press the <ENTER>

  25.           Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive,
  26.                      and enter A:\.

  28.           Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied
  29.                      the INF file, either on your local hard drive or
  30.                      on a network share.

  32.           Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is,
  33.                      choose the "Browse..." button are find them.

  35.       The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Select the monitor that
  36.       corresponds to the one you connected to your machine and click OK.

  38.       Windows 95 will copy the INF file to the proper directories
  39.       on your system.

  41.       Continue choosing Close until you close the Display Properties dialog box.
