  9. This release of Key-Z Player is for Windows.  Key-Z Player
  10. provides an innovative approach to performing music with your PC by using 
  11. just your PC's keyboard.  We hope that you'll truly enjoy using Key-Z 
  12. Player.

  14. Install Windows correctly
  15. -------------------------
  16. Before using Key-Z Player, you should make sure that you have installed 
  17. Windows and your sound card correctly.  Try the Media Player that is part
  18. of Windows.  If this program works correctly, you should have no problem 
  19. with Key-Z Player.  
  20.  
  21. Windows 3.1 drivers
  22. -------------------
  23. Key-Z Player uses drivers in Windows to talk with Sound Cards and MIDI 
  24. Interfaces.  For Key-Z Player to work with your Sound Card or MIDI 
  25. Interface, you must have the correct driver installed.  Choose the driver 
  26. that is compatible with the Sound Hardware you have installed.  This is done
  27. using the Windows CONTROL PANEL. Refer to your Windows 3.1 User Guide 
  28. Chapter 5, "Control Panel."

  30. Key-Z Player uses the MIDI Mapper exclusively.  Make sure MIDI Channels 1 
  31. through 10 are turned on in your MIDI Mapper.  You will find the MIDI 
  32. Mapper icon in the Windows Control Panel.  Refer to your Windows User 
  33. Guide for additional information on the MIDI Mapper.
