This CD contains over 550 RISC OS outline fonts. The !EMPORIUM application is supplied to make the previewing and extraction of these fonts as painless as possible.

To use the !EMPORIUM is a simple three stage process;<br><br>
1) Selecting a font group.<br>
2) Selecting some fonts.<br>
3) Extracting them from the CD.

1) Selecting a font group.<br>
<br>First load !EMPORIUM by double clicking on it. You can then open the <b>font group</b> menu by clicking on the iconbar icon. This will open a large window which has fifteen buttons, one for each of the fifteen font groups. Decide which group you want to preview and then click on its icon.

The <b>font group</b> window will then close and the <b>select fonts</b> window will open. Closing this new window with the adjust mouse button (right-hand) will reopen the <b>font group</b> window.

2) Selecting some fonts.<br>
<br>The newly opened <b>select fonts</b> window contains a list of the group members. The fonts on this list are shown as they appear, so you can quickly see the fonts name and style. This list may be scrolled vertically by using the attached scroll bar. <br><br>
Clicking on any of the fonts will show a full character preview of that font. This is displayed, as you will see, at lower right-hand side of the window. If the clicked font has family members (eg Bold or Oblique) then a popup menu is available to access previews of these other family members. And just incase the font name isn't readable, maybe because it's a symbol font, its full name is displayed next to the popup menu button.<br><br>Once you have previewed the fonts you can then extract them. To indicate which fonts you wish to extract you should click their tick buttons, on or off. To save time if you wish to extract all the fonts in the current group you can click select all.

3) Extracting them from the CD.<br>
<br>The selected fonts can be extracted in one of four ways. Three of these extraction methods are should at the top of the <b>select fonts</b> window and be chosen by clicking on their icon.<br>
<br>A) <b>Raw Directories</b> will extract the selected fonts to any filer window which the drop arrow is dragged to. You should be careful when using this option exactly where you drop the fonts.
<br>
<br>B) <b>Directory of Fonts</b> allows you to type in a directory name, and then to create this directory with the fonts in it. Again you must drag an icon to the filer window which you want to be the destination.
<br>
<br>C) <b>!Fonts Folder</b> this will create a new folder application which can be simply clicked to install the fonts onto the computer font list, all ready for use with DTP and other applications, the name you give must start with a <b>!</b>.
<br>
<br>Finally users of Easy Font, whom have version 3.11 or greater, will notice an additional icon at the base of the <b>select fonts</b> window whenever Easy Font is loaded. Clicking on this will install the fonts into Easy Font directly.
