WordPerfect Supported Character Terminals
WordPerfect Supported Character Terminals
and Corresponding Templates
(as of November 12, 1996)
The README.trs file lists all terminals supported for
the character-based WordPerfect, including category of
support, WPTERM setting, keyboard template, and other
comments to help you set up your terminal for use with
WordPerfect.
Support for each terminal falls into three categories.
A "recommended" terminal has been tested in-house
at WPCorp, and is available in-house for further
testing if necessary. These terminals have
standard display characteristics, and a
comfortable function key layout.
A "supported" terminal is also available in-house
at WPCorp, but it has non-standard display
characteristics or an unusual function key layout.
Please consult Help and Terminal Help for
keystroke and display information.
A "limited support" terminal is either not
available in-house at WPCorp, or the driver was
written according to a specific customer request;
consequently additions and modifications cannot
be made to it. Terminal modes that are extremely
hardware dependant such as scan code are also
considered limited support.
The WPTERM setting for each terminal enables
WordPerfect to send the correct codes to your
particular terminal and thus communicate correctly.
The keyboard template code tells you what template to
order to correspond with the driver. Any additional
comments describe specific modes or other terminal
setup requirements for the terminal to work correctly.
For Keystroke information for your terminal, use
WordPerfect Help. The keystroke to access Help is
displayed on the WordPerfect Banner Screen.
For additional terminal information, such as
attribute and graphic capabilities, or special
hardware settings, see Terminal Helps and Hints.
Access this information by pressing Screen,
(4)Terminal Help inside WordPerfect.
