  18. REPLINI will RESTART the Workplace shell. Make sure all applications are
  19. closed before using REPLINI.

  23. NOTES on REPLINI version 0.9:
  24.

  26. REPLINI (ReplaceIni) will replace the OS2.INI and OS2SYS.INI with a copy
  27. (made by 'COPYINI'?) of these files from another location. 
  28. The reason for this program is that it is rather cumbersum to replace the
  29. current active ini-files when the workplace shell has these two files in
  30. use.

  33. REPLINI will replace both ini's by restarting the workplace shell two times:
  34.  
  35. The first time the workplace shell will be restarted to use the new version 
  36. of the ini's at the specified location.
  37.  
  38. Then REPLINI will rename the original ini files to save versions. Their
  39. names will be OS2.nnn and OS2SYS.nnn where 'nnn' will be the first number
  40. that produces non-existing file names.
  41.  
  42. Then REPLINI will copy the new ini's from the specified directory to the
  43. directory where the original ini's were located.
  44.  
  45. Finally, REPLINI will restart the workplace shell to use the copied 
  46. ini files.

  48. The whole process should take no more than a view seconds.

  51. When one of the steps described above fails, REPLINI will try to revert
  52. all chanches!

  55. FIRST TIME USAGE:
  56.  
  57. Make sure you have a save copy of your ini files. Should REPLINI fail 
  58. press RESET (C-A-D), boot from a boot disk and restore your saved copy of
  59. the ini files.

  62. KNOWN LIMITATIONS:
  63.  
  64. -  Objects from 'startup' folders will not restart when using REPLINI.
  65.  
  66. -  Occasionally, a protection violation was seen in the WPCLSLST.DLL from
  67.    the OS/2 TOOLKIT. 
  68.    When 'Close the application' was choosen in the protection violation 
  69.    prompt, the workplace shell restarted normally.
