  7. #   This file need not be installed if all systems you send mail to are
  8. #   either directly connected to you (listed in the SYSTEMS or PASSWD
  9. #   files) or routed via the default Mail Server you specified in your
  10. #   UUPC.RC file.  If this file is installed, it must be named HOSTPATH
  11. #   and placed in the UUCP Configuration directory.

  13. #   If you send mail to a system that NOT directly contacted to your
  14. #   system and is not routed via the default mail server, then both it
  15. #   and the system it is routed via should be listed in this file.

  17. #   If a system is listed as a remote system in this file and is also
  18. #   listed in the PASSWD file or SYSTEMS, its entry in this file will be
  19. #   ignored and any mail for it will be queued for it directly.

  21. #   Sample entry; the system on the left (blackhole) is routed via
  22. #   the system on the right (starjump).  The system on the right may be
  23. #   another remote system listed in this file, with up to 100 systems
  24. #   in a path, but the final result must be a directly attached
  25. #   system.

  29. #   This file can also be used for aliasing a system to another; if, for
  30. #   example, your own system got renamed from 'foo' to 'bar', then adding
  31. #   the apprioriate line in this file will allow you to accept mail for
  32. #   either site.  This also has the same as a routing entry for a remote
  33. #   system, but in either case, systems directly connected to you must
  34. #   know your true name.
