Version 0.40 and 0.41 - Oct 24, 1992
Initial release, the only difference between the two was that 0.40 was missing
a text file.
Version 0.60 - Nov 11, 1992
Major bug fix. One of the file pointers had been set wrong from version 0.10
on. I thought I'd caught it for version 0.40, and later found out I hadn't.
Version 0.61 - Nov 12, 1992
Realized the next day that the first fix would have upset another pointer.
Checked and found out I was right. I veeeerrrrryyyyyyyyy carefully re-read all
the file routines at this point, and believe that they are now sound. Also
fixed the exit routines so that background color is now set to black (as
requested by Sledgehammer 1@4655).
Version 0.62 - Dec. 2, 1992
Major modification time folks. Now one executable handles all the work, this
drops the ZIP size drastically. I also made it easier for sysop's to hook it
in (MAD.BAT, the original batch file is now called TW2002.BAT, and the batch
file it writes is now EXPANDER.BAT). This meant a complete re-organization of
the code. I've also rec'd the registration for the DFRAME door library, so
that nasty little message that hangs for 8 seconds on the in/out cycle is no
longer there. This version should have been out a week ago, but I was sick.
Ever try to program when you can't think?
Version 0.65 - Dec. 4, 1992
I should listen to my beautifull wife more often - she told me I wasn't well
yet.... But I was stubborn... This is another bug fix, or rather a series
of them. Again it was the old pointer problem, and as usual it showed up in the
most inconvenient places. Among other things it wiped out your ship completely,
which probably has players all over ready to send assassins out after me....
Sorry folks, I blew it. However intense testing (I ran this thing close to 100
times tonight) indicates that 0.65 is OK. Note that I have my fingers crossed!
Version 0.66 - Dec. 7, 1992
Oops! Sledgehammer (1@4654) tried running universes on seperate hard drives,
and found that the Expander wrote the batch file to switch to the other drive
but not back. V0.66 fixes this.
Version 0.67 - Dec. 16, 1992
This fixes a minor bug where the program would tell you that you had wormholed
but hadn't.
Version 0.69 - Jan. 15, 1993
Slight update - you and your players won't notice any difference, but there
is added code. And no, I won't tell you what it is <G>.
Version 0.70 - Feb. 6, 1993
The EXPANDER can now handle fixed Wormholes. To install fixed wormholes use
TEDIT. Go to Sector edit, pick a sector, and change the Nebulae (Z item on
menu) to read:
Wormhole to Universe 2
The word Wormhole must be there and spelled correctly. The number at the end
is of course the universe you wish the player to be transported to. It can be
any number from 1 to 20 if you have registered, 1 to 2 otherwise. TEDIT and
DEBUG modes are now also supported.
Version 0.72 - Feb. 9, 1993
Fixed problem with TEDIT mode, it wouldn't accept any universe above 9 in
registered form. Also fixed a problem with the error routines so that they
will now print out the users name/alias who had the problem.
Version 0.73 - Feb. 14, 1993
Fixed another problem with TEDIT mode, where it would only accept "1" as the
answer.
Version 0.74 - Mar. 2, 1993
Added code so that anyone who uses a fixed wormhole will be dumped back into
TW2002 rather than returning to the BBS. Also added a bunch of other code that
won't be noticed - yet....
