  2. About ...
  3. The first line shows the program name, version and release date.
  4.  
  5. The second line is a copyright statement.
  6.  
  7. The third line shows which version of DOS you are using, and how much
  8. memory is available for data.  For TCmenu this memory is limited to
  9. 40 Kb, so in this case the amount of free memory will be rather low).
  10. *DIS
  11. Display
  12. Language             = Choose between NO (Norwegian) or UK.  Other
  13.                        languages may be available.
  14. Tab stops            = Set the number of spaces to insert when
  15.                        the Tab key is pressed.
  16. Beep                 = Turn beep (errors and warnings) on or off.
  17. 43/50-line mode      = EGA screens : 43 lines,
  18.                        VGA screens : 50 lines.
  19. Mouse support        = Turn the mouse pointer on or off.
  20. Left handed mouse    = Switch the two buttons on the mouse (forget
  21.                        the one in the middle, if you have one).  If
  22.                        you are right handed, the left button will be
  23.                        used to select and the right one means "Esc".
  24. Support for Ctrl+Ins = Turn support for Ctrl+Ins (paste) on or off.
  25.                        This support captures DOS Interrupt 9, which
  26.                        can cause problems with Windows.
  27. *KBD
  28. Keyboard
  29. Home  = Top of window                Ctrl+PgUp  = Top of list
  30. End   = Bottom of window             Ctrl+PgDn  = Bottom of list
  31.      = Move cursor up               PgUp       = Page up
  32.      = Move cursor down             PgDn       = Page down
  33.                                      Ctrl+F1    = Select character

  35. To select from the main menu, press the Alt key together with the
  36. highlighted character in the item you want.

  38. If you press F10 (or the Alt key once), the cursor will move to the
  39. main menu.

  41. Use the cursor keys to move the cursor.  Select an item by pressing
  42. Enter or by pressing the highlighted character in the desired item.
  43. You may also use the hotkey indicated to the right of each item,
  44. or the hotkey you have defined for that function.

  46. Select character
  47. This function is activated by pressing Ctrl+F1.

  49. Move the cursor to the desired character in the table and press Enter,
  50. or press Esc for no selection.

  52. Select colors
  53. Press F1 and select "Keyboard" for more help about keys.

  55. Move the cursor with the cursor keys.  You will see in the example
  56. how the colors fit your screen.  In addition you may use these keys:

  59. Tab        = Next element
  60. Shift+Tab  = Previous element
  61. F7         = Select or edit palettes
  62. Esc        = Cancel

  64. Using help
  65. Select "OK" to switch between the index and the topics (you may also
  66. press the Enter key).  Select "Index" to see an index of the help
  67. file.

  69. Select "Cancel" or press the Esc key to exit help.

  71. In order to move around in the help screens, you may use the arrow keys
  72. and the Page Up and Page Down keys.  If you are using a mouse, you may
  73. click on the scrollbar to the right of the help screen.
