Home = Adjust left margin
End = Adjust right margin
Enter = Accept current margins
Esc = Cancel
The margins may be adjusted by using the arrow keys or Tab or
Shift+Tab.

Printer port = which port to use when executing the File Print
command
Right margin = Point at which word wrap will occur.
Indent mode ON = When you press Enter, the left margin for the
current line will be maintained.
Indent mode OFF = When you press Enter, the cursor will start at
position 1 on the next line.
You can switch indent mode on and off by pressing Ctrl+F8 when in
the 'edit text' screen.

Define columns for table
Using this dialog you may define columns for a table. Move
the cursor with the arrow keys and press F5 to edit an existing
column, Ins to insert a new column, or Del to delete a column.

Delete file from floppy or hard disk
Use this function to erase a file from floppe or hard disk, but
be careful! Only special utility programs can salvage erased
files.

Edit column definition
Here you may decide how a column in the table is to be used.
NAME Name for this column (must be unique within the table)
TYPE Select between text, number, date or time.
LENGTH Length for this column
FORMULA If the data in the column is derived, you may enter a
formula here.
If you fill out the "adjust data" field, any changes in the length
of columns will be reflected in the data. Leave the field unchecked
if you are specifying columns for existing data that did not
previously have columns.

Edit line in table
When you press the space bar or Enter in a table, a dialog box
will appear that allows you to edit the data for the line you had
selected. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor between the fields.
Press Enter to save your changes, or Esc to cancel.

F2 = Save file
F3 = Exit the editor
F5 = Open an existing file
F4 = Delete file from floppy or hard disk
Shift+F7 = Change colors
Shift+F8 = Change configuration
Ctrl+F8 = Indent mode on/off
F9 = Define columns for table
F10 = Move cursor to main menu
Ins = Toggle between insert and overwrite mode
Enter = Add a line
Shift+cursor keys = Select block of text
Ctrl+Space (or click on the window title) = Select the entire text

Hotkeys
Move the cursor to one of the functions and press the desired hotkey
combination for that function. Example: Alt+C for Copy.
By pressing F10, your selected hotkey will be indicated on the
bottom line.
Press Enter to save the hotkeys, or Esc to cancel.

Print block Print the block on a printer

New Empty the editor
Open Open an existing file
Save Save the file
Save as Save the current file with another name

Colors Change colors
Display Select language and screen mode
Configuration Change configuration (printer port, right margin, etc)

Text/table View the file as text or as a table

Sort Sort the data in table
Search Find a string in the text

Close Close current window

Type the name of an existing file, and press Enter to retrieve it.

Tables have TCT as extension.

Type a valid file name for the file/block, and press Enter to save
it to disk. See also "Wildcards in file names".
Tables will be given TCT as extension.

Search
This dialog lets you type a string you want to find in the text
(put the string in quotes ("") if you want to search for something
with one or more trailing spaces).
Press Enter to start searching, or Esc to cancel.

Search and replace
Using this function you may replace a given string with another
string throughout the text (put the string in quotes ("") if you
want to search for something with one or more trailing spaces).
Fill out the field "with confirmation" if you want to be prompted
before each occurence of your search string is replaced.
Press Enter to start searching, or Esc to cancel.

Move the cursor with the cursor keys. You will see in the example
how the colors fit your screen. In addition you may use these keys:
Enter = Save colors
Tab = Next element

Select one of the open windows by moving the cursor with the arrow
keys and pressing Enter. You may also jump directly to a window
by pressing Alt together with the number that appears on the top
right of the window frame.

sort is to be ascending (alfabetic) or decending.

Wildcards in file names
Type *.* to view all the file names in the current directory, or use
"wildcards" to list only the file names you are interested in.
A question sign (?) represents ONE arbitrary character.
An asterisk (*) represents an unknown number of arbitrary characters.
In addition to the standard search patterns you can use in DOS
(*.COM, BA*.BAT, *.*, etc.), you may use asterisks and question
marks like this;
*T.BAT File names that end with T, extension BAT
*.*X Extensions that end with X
*Z*.*Y* File names that contain Z, extensions that contain Y
*.DOC Extension DOC
TEST?.* File names that start with TEST plus one character
any extension
DEP???N*.DOC DEP plus three characters plus N, extension DOC
*RE*.* File names that contain RE
