  4. ║  I N S T R U C T I O N:                                                    ║

  6. ║  1) Enter the correct filing status so that proper tax rates are used.     ║
  7. ║  2) Income and tax withholdings may be entered off your paycheck totals.   ║
  8. ║  3) Entering the GROSS amount and the number of times paid in one year     ║
  9. ║     OR just enter your annual salary (but not both methods).               ║
  10. ║  4) Adjustments to income are alimony paid, IRA/SEP contributions, etc.    ║
  11. ║  5) Enter the number of exemptions (include yourself, spouse, and kids).   ║
  12. ║  6) The standard deduction is automatic based on the filing status, BUT    ║
  13. ║     if you itemize, then enter that amount instead of the standard deduct. ║
  14. ║  7) Finally, (if nothing changes and you thought of everything) you        ║
  15. ║     will have a tax refund or payment that should be a good ESTIMATE       ║
  16. ║     of what your final 1040 form will say.                                 ║
