NOTE: If you are a SEARCHLIGHT BBS SysOp, disreguard this .DOC
and go straight to SLSYSOP.DOC.
Non-Searchlight SysOps:
I have yet had the time to work on a utility to convert a door
system file (ie...PCBOARD.SYS or DORINFOx.DEF) or write this
door package in Pascal, the latter is planned for the near
future. If you can get this door working with your BBS type
PLEASE zipup your moified files in a zip with the name of the
door system file and put that zip in this package with some
documenttation - THANKS! If the MAKEIDX utility doesn't work
with your allfiles list PLEASE send me a copy of it (along with
a copy of the utility that makes the list - if possable) on disk,
and an anotated copy either printed or on disk. I will
be happy to modify MAKEIDX for your list. If you send registration
$$$$ with it, I'll be sure to send you BOTH Enhanced and regular
MAKEIDX for your list.
If your BBS package allows passing user information via command
line parameters, then you should be able to get this door to work
with little trouble... If your system is described above, print
SLSYSOP.DOC and FILEDOOR.DEF. As this is a nice and useful door,
it would be worth your time to get it up!
FILEDOOR.DEF:
*.DEF files are SL's way of door menuing, the format is as
follows:
1;0;2;5;Xmodem;.;filedoor % . . . %
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^command line params: see doc.
| | | | | | batch file to start door.
| | | | | door menu name.
| | | | user access level.
| | | built-in "watchdog" type feature.
| | disk write-protect toggle.
| door type, modem support level.
