  5. Stickies! is a shareware note manager for Windows 3.0 and later running
  6. in either Standard or 386 Enhanced mode.

  25. Stickies! is distributed in two forms, depending on the disk size used.
  26. If your distribution disk has a single file, ST20.EXE, then this is a
  27. self-extracting archive which contains all the other files.  If your disk
  28. has all the files listed above, then you should skip the next step.
  29.  
  30. To install Stickies! from the self-extracting archive, copy ST20.EXE to
  31. a directory on your hard disk that contains no other files, and run it.
  32. It will create the files listed above.  Once you've completed the
  33. installation, you can delete the files from this directory.

  35. To install Stickies! from a distribution disk that has the files listed
  36. above, you can either install directly from the floppy disk or copy the
  37. files to a directory on your hard disk.

  39. Next, run the INSTALL.EXE program.  This program will copy the Stickies!
  40. program and data files to the directory of your choice, and it will copy
  41. COMMDLG.DLL and SHELL.DLL to your Windows system directory if you don't
  42. already have those files.

  44. If you allow the installation program to run Stickies!, it will make
  45. Stickies! perform its self-test.  You can run the self-test any time you
  46. wish by selecting "Perform self-test" on the main Stickies! program menu.

  48. Note that Stickies! will never, under any circumstances, modify your
  49. AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, WIN.INI, or SYSTEM.INI files, and it no longer
  50. stores any of its data files in your Windows directory.

  52. The most convenient way to use Stickies! on a daily basis is to add it
  53. to your Startup group if you're using Windows 3.1 or later, or add
  54. "STICKIES.EXE" to the "run=" line in your WIN.INI file if you're using
  55. Windows 3.0.
