  9.        This software package is SHAREWARE. This means an author or 
  10.        programmer has prepared software which you are free to copy, and
  11.        share with others, but the author requests a REGISTRATION FEE 
  12.        for you to continue LEGAL use and receive additional benefits. If 
  13.        you received this software from a shareware vendor or computer club 
  14.        who charged $3 or $4 you have only paid a DISTRIBUTION or HANDLING 
  15.        FEE to produce an EVALUATION disk of which NO PORTION goes to the 
  16.        author of the software. You are encouraged to use the software and, 
  17.        pay the final REGISTRATION FEE to the author to become legally 
  18.        registered and receive further benefits specified below. Unregistered 
  19.        users may examine, search and evaluate the main mailing list but 
  20.        may NOT use it for postal mailings due to decoy addresses and other 
  21.        methods used to track NON-REGISTERED USERS.

  23.        Paying the registration fee brings by return mail the UPDATED 
  24.        mailing list, updates to the newsletter, registration number and 
  25.        permission to use the mailing list for postal and direct market 
  26.        mailings. Yearly subscription provides four quarterly issues.

  84.        EXPLANATION OF THIS FORM: 
  85.  
  86.        I frequently remove and update undeliverable addresses from the 
  87.        mailing list database. One way I do this ON A RANDOM SPOT CHECK 
  88.        BASIS is to reimburse shareware authors for mail which is 
  89.        returned as undeliverable. This helps keep the database addresses 
  90.        correct and reimburses registered users for wasted postage. 
  91.  
  92.        Here is how it works. When I receive your registration form, 
  93.        registration fee and the claim form which appears above, I will 
  94.        make a decision ON A RANDOM SPOT CHECK BASIS whether to validate 
  95.        this claim form and return it to you (you remain a registered 
  96.        user, of course.) In other words, Seattle Scientific 
  97.        Photography, the author of this software, MAY OR MAY NOT, AT OUR 
  98.        EXCLUSIVE OPTION validate the claim form and return it to you.

  100.        The reason why I do not validate every claim form is that I need 
  101.        only SPOT CHECKS of mailing list accuracy NOT mailing address 
  102.        corrections from EVERY user of the mailing list database.

  104.        TERMS: 
  105.  
  106.        If you mail Seattle Scientific Photography the ORIGINAL envelope 
  107.        face with attached mailing label and US postal "address 
  108.        undeliverable" stamp for any undeliverable envelopes or disk 
  109.        mailers returned to you whose original destination address was 
  110.        derived from the $hareware Marketing $ystem, I will pay to you 
  111.        50 cents per undeliverable item. I only do this with a FEW 
  112.        shareware authors on a random spot check basis. This offer is 
  113.        valid for only 90 days from validation date on the claim form. 
  114.        The claim form must accompany request for reimbursement. You 
  115.        must be a shareware author. The original claim form must be 
  116.        returned with undeliverable proofs (faces of envelopes or disk 
  117.        mailers.) Limited only to paid/registered users. The form must 
  118.        have OFFICIAL VALIDATION and date and be returned to us with your 
  119.        claim for reimbursement. If a mailing address in the database 
  120.        includes the name of a person in addition to company 
  121.        name/computer club name, you must use the person's name AND 
  122.        company name/club name on the face of labels you mail. Limit of 
  123.        one claim per user per year.
